The current Pasifik three-lobe range comprises seven models: PB3113, PB3125, PB3137, PB3149, PB3151, PB3155 and PB3161. Model selection is based on the required inlet flow, differential pressure or vacuum, gas properties, inlet conditions, operating speed, duty cycle and installation environment. Rather than selecting a blower by connection size or motor rating alone, Pasifik evaluates the actual duty point and the complete system boundary.

Three-lobe Roots blowers are constant-volume machines whose delivered inlet flow is primarily determined by displacement, rotational speed and internal slip. The connected process establishes the pressure resistance that the blower must overcome. Consequently, the same machine can experience different absorbed power and discharge-temperature conditions as system resistance changes, even when its rotational speed remains constant.
For this reason, a technically valid selection requires more than a target flow figure. Inlet absolute pressure, inlet temperature, site altitude, gas molecular weight, humidity, filtration losses, discharge pressure and expected operating profile must all be defined. These inputs allow the proposed blower speed, absorbed power, motor rating and operating limits to be evaluated on a consistent basis.
Pasifik three-lobe Roots blowers are intended for industrial duties in which continuous gas transfer, stable volumetric performance and serviceable mechanical construction are important. Published range values must always be read together with the relevant operating conditions; no single maximum value applies to every model, speed and differential pressure combination.
What are three-lobe Roots blowers?
Three-lobe Roots blowers are rotary positive-displacement machines with two synchronized, non-contacting rotors, each having three lobes. They trap discrete volumes of gas at the inlet and transport them around the casing to the discharge side. The connected system creates the pressure resistance; the blower provides displacement and flow within its permitted operating range.
What is the main difference between a two-lobe and a three-lobe blower?
A three-lobe design creates more frequent, smaller displacement events per revolution. This can improve discharge-pulsation behaviour under suitable conditions. It does not guarantee lower noise or energy use by itself; the complete duty point, speed, silencers, piping, foundation and enclosure must be considered.
Are three-lobe Roots blowers always quieter than two-lobe blowers?
No. Three-lobe geometry can reduce individual pressure-pulse amplitude, but total sound pressure depends on speed, pressure, porting, silencers, piping, structural transmission and enclosure design. Any acoustic guarantee must be tied to defined measurement and operating conditions.
Can flow be controlled with a variable-frequency drive?
Yes, when the blower, motor and drive system are suitable and the complete speed range remains within approved limits. Minimum speed, maximum speed, motor cooling, slip, discharge temperature, belt selection and system resonance should all be considered.
